Risk has everything to do with poker. Even if you're face with an awesome reward, you must always think the risk involve in order for you to get the reward. But if its not worth it, then better stop, fold you card. The point is that you need to balance the risk you'll take to the reward involve before deciding anything. Here are some examples that can explain a lot.

Example 1 - What if a millionaire approaches you and propose to give a million dollars if you play a Russian roulette for him, he then gives you a six chamber gun, will you do it or not?

The point is that even if you play and win the hand, you still have a little chance to move up on the tournament ladder. And also if you try to play then you'll also take the risk in losing $50,000.

In this game of poker, weighing your choices is a must. If the rewards are high but the risk of winning the reward is bigger then its better to fold your hand and not to take the risk at all.

Remember that in playing poker there is always a hand that will bring you great winnings. You only need to patiently wait for it. Place your money on a bet that has a huge odd that you'll win.
